Every parenting journey has its share of challenges. Each stage comes with its own set of transitions that can make it feel as though you've lost yourself.

It's not always easy, or what you expected. That's okay.

Even if you have a lot of love and support around you, sometimes something still just feels off. These feelings can compound if you’re going it alone or without a ton of support. 

Connecting with someone who can help you identify your feelings and goals is important.

 

I’ve been there. My experiences as a mom and with my work drive my passion to guide others through the transitional stages of parenthood.

 

We will make a plan together, using only approaches that make you feel comfortable. That way, we can build a roadmap to guide you back to feeling like yourself.

Not only do you have a relationship with this new little person, but you may also be adjusting to a new relationship with your partner.

 

Most importantly, you have no choice but to adjust to your new relationship with yourself.

 Services & Pricing 

Free consultation (20 minutes) 

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

 

Before starting regular therapy, all clients have the option to start with a free 20-minute consultation.

 

This provides an opportunity for me to learn more about you, and vice versa. I will explain my approach and the logistics of virtual therapy. It's also an opportunity for you to confirm that I am the right fit for you and ask any questions that you may have.

Individual counselling session ($150 - 50 minutes) 

I offer phone or video sessions depending on your preference. Either way, this is your time -  to share, explore, and make a plan for the future. You are in the driver's seat.

 

With each session you can process and interpret your experiences, thoughts, and feelings. The goal is to improve your understanding and resilience. I will help you to develop new skills that may be general in nature or specific to your problem.

 

The frequency and total number of sessions will depend on your needs. The nature of the problem(s) you are navigating and your objectives for therapy will be considered.  The number of sessions usually ranges from 5 to 20 for most clients – there is no set minimum or maximum.

 

It is my goal to help get you healthy, happy, and functioning as quickly as possible. This may take more or less time depending on you and your circumstances.

 

Please contact me if fees are a barrier to you accessing counselling. I am able to offer a sliding scale rate to a limited number of clients each year.

Privacy + Confidentiality

I ensure your privacy and confidentiality through encrypted communications and best practice data storage and access protocols.

I use a practice software called JaneApp for scheduling, client notes, billing and video for counselling sessions. This platform meets some of the highest standards in Canada for information and privacy protection (HIPAA).
