What if you didn't have to navigate your journey alone?

Express, process, and understand the monumental changes you experience while becoming a parent.

Hi, I'm Jenna

Supporting women in all stages of their motherhood journey is my passion. That's why I created this therapy and parenting support practice.

I serve clients in British Columbia and Alberta and specialise in issues related to fertility, pregnancy, loss, birth, postpartum, and parenting. My approach is flexible and personalised to meet your unique needs.

I’m also a mom to three wild and wonderful boys. I survived a traumatic birth with my first son and relied on therapy to work through the emotions that came with that adjustment period.

Being a mom is the most magical, challenging, rewarding, and exhausting role. It has challenged me to face my own anxiety and perfectionism. It has also cemented my commitment to improving the accessibility of maternal mental health care.

Therapy should be relatable, so I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where you are free to show up exactly as you are.

There is room to laugh, cry, vent, and everything in between.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. You are empowered to recognize and harness your strengths and self-knowledge. I bring my mental health expertise and experience as a mama.

Let's work together to get you where you want to be.

Why fireweed?

Growth from change.

Pregnancy. Loss. Birth. Postpartum. Parenting.

Each of these events represents a significant change in your life.

Wildfire causes major changes to the landscape and fireweed is often the first sign of new growth.

Therapy helps you to express, process, and understand the changes that you experience.

By providing tools, skills, and knowledge, I will support you in building resilience and setting the stage for renewal.

You can feel better if you have the right tools.

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day.

Life is so busy and social media constantly reminds us of what our lives should supposedly look like. It’s natural to feel low in the face of this constant pressure.

Parenting is hard at any stage – but it also comes with intense moments of joy.

Feelings of worry, inadequacy, and overwhelm can creep in.

They undermine our sense of happiness and cloud our ability to enjoy life.

When you’re in the thick of it, it can be difficult to see the way through, let alone how to get there.

Connecting with someone who can help you understand your feelings, validate them, and learn to deal with them is key.

By identifying the problem and then creating a roadmap to get better, motherhood (and the journey to it) can look more like you imagined.

And even if it looks nothing like how you thought it would, we can make a plan for that too.

It is my passion to support people through the highs and lows of motherhood. I bring professional education, a decade of experience supporting clients, and my lived experience as a mom of three to our sessions, along with a healthy sense of humour!

By working together and using approaches that you’re comfortable with, we can finally get you back to feeling like yourself.

And you don't have to get out of your sweatpants to do it.

Fireweed Counselling is committed to helping women in any stage of the mothering journey. That’s my mission. I use personalised and compassionate therapeutic techniques to help you start feeling better.

Virtual therapy is effective, affordable, tailored specifically to you, and uses approaches that you find helpful and enjoy.

I would be honoured to work with you!
